We hope you and your family are keeping safe and well and have had a good Summer.
As you are aware schools are all returning in September and we are delighted to say that we will also be open for Breakfast Club and After School Club.
The latest guidance to be published for Out of School Settings has now been released and we will be adhering to this guidance.
If your child is showing any symptoms of Covid-19 please do not send them to the Club. All children will have their temperatures checked on arrival at BC and ASC.
Our first day will be Thursday 3rdSeptember. Breakfast Club will be open from 7.45. We will adapt our timings to allow for the staggered drop off and collection times as published by The Downley School.
Drop Off and Collection
When dropping off and collecting your children, please do not enter the premises. There will be a member of staff at the door who will sign your child in and out.
Please be aware that your child may not be in the same bubble as they are at school, however we will be allocating our own bubbles and children will be encouraged to keep to the recommended distance where possible. Children will not be allocated PPE, however if you wish your child to wear it whilst at The Club then they may do so. Some of our staff may be wearing PPE
What if a child becomes ill whilst at ASC?
When a child, young person or staff member develops symptoms compatible with coronavirus (COVID-19), they will be sent home and advised to follow guidance on self-isolation NHS - when to self-isolate and what to do. The child, young person or staff member with symptoms should arrange to have a test to see if they have coronavirus (COVID-19). They can do this by visiting NHS.UK to arrange or contact NHS 119 by telephone if they do not have internet access.
Where the child, young person or staff member tests negative, they can return to the setting. If they remain unwell, they should not return to that setting until they are recovered.
Where a child, young person or staff member tests positive, NHS Test and Trace will speak directly to those they have been in contact with to offer advice. This advice may be that the rest of their class or group within the setting should be advised to self-isolate.
Staggered snack times will be introduced, children are able to bring their own snacks if they would prefer to do so.
Hygiene and Cleaning of The Club
All children will be asked to wash their hands on arrival at The Club. There will be various sanitising station throughout and children will be regularly reminded to clean their hands. All areas of the ASC will be thoroughly cleaned after each session. Cleaning will also take place during the session to ensure that common areas (toilets) are kept clean.
Covid 19 Agreement
All parents will need to sign our Covid 19 Agreement form before their child is allowed to enter the Club, this can be downloaded from our website.
Invoices have now been sent for September, these should be paid at your earliest convenience. Please ensure that all invoices prior to September have also been paid. We can’t guarantee your spaces if you have any fees outstanding.
